The University of Labour in Frankfurt am Main is a modern university with a long tradition of interdisciplinary and practice-oriented research. It continues the idea developed more than 100 years ago of a university education with a labour-oriented focus and closes a gap in the German and European university landscape.

The research group „Work and Life Course in Global Historical Perspective“ at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin is part of the initiative „Freiraum für die Geisteswissenschaften“ of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. re:work examines the relationship between work and life course from a comparative and interrelated historical perspective in order to determine the main trends and historically frame the current situation.

Hans Böckler Foundation

The Hans Böckler Foundation is the co-determination, research and study promotion organisation of the German Trade Union Confederation. Together with experts from the Institute of Economic and Social Sciences (WSI) and the Institute for Macroeconomics and Business Cycle Research (IMK), the IGZA works on various labour market policy issues.

The FES is the oldest political foundation in Germany. As a non-profit institution, it acts independently and with the aim of promoting pluralistic social dialogue on the political challenges of the present. This also includes questions about the future of capitalism and the world of work. Among other things, the IGZA has been a partner of the FES conference series „Digital Capitalism“ since 2017.

Berlin Science Centre

The Social Science Research Centre Berlin (WZB) conducts problem-oriented basic research. It analyses developments, problems and opportunities for innovation in modern societies. A specialist cooperation exists with the project group „Globalisation, Work and Production“, which researches the profound changes in the world of work. The group is headed by Prof Dr Martin Krzywdzinski.
