The development of technology, science and communication, along with economic and political power relations, has shaped human labour and its societal significance. Understanding this development and making the acquired knowledge usable for shaping future world of work are at the centre of the institute's work.<\/p>\n<p>The burgeoning digital age, in particular, brings new challenges but also new opportunities for work. Jobs across all economic sectors will be subject to change. This brings many different problems and anxieties, but also enormous possibilities for shaping things: strenuous and demanding tasks in production can be automated, repetitive, monotonous work can be transferred to robots. Artificial intelligence is revolutionising knowledge work. New potential for employee participation and interesting and meaningful activities are emerging. The institute aims to provide impetus for shaping good work in the digital world of work during this transformation process.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-6\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>The same applies to the future design of the welfare state. Here too, innovations are needed in order to maintain social security systems in an increasingly complex world of work. The institute will contribute its own analysis to the discussion on reform impulses for a new standard employment relationship and \u201eWelfare State 4.0\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>Tr\u00e4ger ist die \u201eStiftung Institut f\u00fcr die Geschichte und Zukunft der Arbeit\u201c. Die Stiftung ist ausschlie\u00dflich gemeinn\u00fctzig t\u00e4tig, finanziert aus ihren Mitteln eigene Forschung, f\u00f6rdert aber auch Stipendien und Gastaufenthalte von WissenschaftlerInnen am Institut. Gr\u00fcnder der Stiftung ist Dr. Horst Neumann. Der promovierte \u00d6konom war stellvertretender Leiter der IG Metall Wirtschaftsabteilung und Arbeitsdirektor bei Rasselstein, Thyssen Krupp Elevator und Audi, bevor er von 2005-2015 als Volkswagen Konzernvorstand die Ressorts Personal, Organisation und IT verantwortete.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Die Erforschung der Geschichte und die Gestaltung der Zukunft der Arbeit sind das Anliegen unseres Instituts.
