Given the ongoing wars and a new bloc confrontation with looming conflicts over raw materials and spheres of influence, it seems humanity cannot escape the scourge of war. The call for deterrence and 'war readiness' is dominant, with global military spending reaching new record highs.<\/p>\n

However, war is not a timeless destiny. If one leaves the molehill of some current debates and risks a broad view, it becomes clear: it was only about 5,000 years ago that war became a social institution based on scarce wealth. It can be overcome in the future with an end to scarcity \u2013 just as slavery, which was considered normal for millennia and whose time as a socially accepted institution is now over, has already been overcome.<\/p>\n

The book provides a 'big picture' from prehistoric communities to today's global crises. Based on extensive, statistically empirical material from evolutionary anthropology, archaeology, economics, as well as technology, climate, and historical sciences, analyses and theses on the current situation and perspectives for global peace are developed, showing how our current unsustainable economic and production methods constantly generate new scarcities and inequalities, thereby perpetuating the vicious cycle of poverty, growing resource hunger, and war.<\/p>\n

The<\/strong> Central thesis: In the 21st century, peace on planet Earth can only be achieved simultaneously with sustainability and prosperity for all, i.e., on the basis of the end of scarcity within an ecological and solidarity-based market economy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
