Earthrise'

NASA photo »Earthrise«, taken on 24 December 1968. The image impressively demonstrated to mankind how the planet on which it lives floats as a blue sphere in an immeasurable sea of black. "I realised that the Earth is small and fragile and not the centre of the universe," astronaut William Anders later commented on his photograph.
