The Institute for the History and Future of Work is dedicated to researching the history of work and possibilities for shaping its future. The development of technology, science, and communication, as well as economic and political power relations, has shaped human labour and its societal significance. Understanding this development and statistically, economically and historically processing the insights gained in order to make them usable for shaping future world[s] of work is at the core of the institute's work.

Our institute has locations in Berlin and by Lake Constance. For our team at Location Lake Constance in 78337 Öhningen We are looking for a committed reinforcement. In this position, you will combine your graphic design skills with task and project organisation.

Media Design and Assistance (m/f/d)

We require your cooperation for

 Media Design and Communication

  • Creation and editing of graphics for digital and print media
  • Collaborating with the research team to translate complex subject matter into easily understandable graphics, exhibition objects, and informational materials.
  • Concept and management of a travelling exhibition on the history and future of work
  • Internal and external communication, including website management
  • Preparation and printing of meeting and seminar documents

Assistance and Organisation

  • Documentation, recording and filing of documents, support for personnel administration
  • Event organisation as well as warehouse, IT, and library management

You have

  • Completed training or many years of professional experience in media design.
  • In-depth knowledge of graphic editing (especially Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Creativity and the ability to present complex information in a visually appealing way
  • Teamwork, organisational skills and IT proficiency
